At Scholten Group, we’ve always believed that better buildings start with better knowledge and the right materials. Our story began in the Northern Rivers, where we built a reputation for crafting high performance homes that were healthy, efficient and built to last.

Originally working as licensed builders, we specialised in Passive House construction — a building method that demands airtightness, thermal control and careful material selection. This hands-on experience gave us a deep understanding of how critical the building envelope is to overall performance.

Over time, we found ourselves increasingly drawn to the science behind building performance. We saw firsthand the difference high quality products could make, and we learned that getting the details right at every stage, from design through to install, was key.

Today, we’ve shifted our focus from building homes to supporting others who do. Scholten Group is now the official Northern NSW distributor for Pro Clima’s range of airtightness and moisture control systems. We supply these products directly, backed by expert guidance, training and technical support for builders, designers and architects.

Our background as builders sets us apart. We don’t just recommend membranes, tapes and sealants — we’ve worked with them on site and understand how they perform in real conditions. That practical knowledge means we can offer real-world advice, troubleshoot issues and help ensure every system is installed to spec.

Alongside product distribution, we also offer Blower Door testing, WUFI modelling and project consulting to support Passive House and high performance construction across the Northern Rivers and beyond.
